SWOP-Seattle is hiring for two positions, a Volunteer Coordinator and Fundraiser. Both of these jobs are 6 month contract positions. Volunteer Coordinator

This is a temporary 6 month contract position that will focus on expanding SWOP-Seattle’s ability to engage and utilize volunteers.

Job Duties

  • Developing and executing orientation training for SWOP-Seattle volunteers
  • Identifying SWOP-Seattle projects and programs requiring volunteers
  • Assisting in responding to emails, and pinging appropriate SWOP coordinators
  • Coordinating volunteers to undertake SWOP-Seattle programs and projects
  • Documenting processes and creating guides for volunteer roles

Qualifications and Skills of Ideal Candidate

  • Ability to incorporate Anti-Racism/Anti-Oppression values into trainings
  • Excellent communication and people skills, both verbal and written
  • Organized and detail oriented
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Experience with Google Drive and WordPress a plus!
  • Passionate about sex workers rights!
  • Current and former sex workers encouraged to apply, and prioritized

Position Reports to: SWOP-Seattle Council

Compensation and Schedule: This is a part time contractor position. $25 per hour for up to 40 hours per month for 6 months.

 

 

Fundraiser

This is a temporary 6 month contract position that will focus on fundraising around December 17th and SWOP-Seattle’s annual SASS Festival held March 1-3 2019, which includes (but is not limited to) the cultivation of donor relationships such as recurring donations, and the coordination of fundraisers such as a raffle, silent auction, and sponsorships. This position also includes generating models to be used for ongoing fundraising efforts.

Job Duties

  • Hitting goals for recurring monthly donations
  • Building relationships with donors with outreach and thank you’s.
  • Assist with executing fundraising events such as raffles and auctions
  • Manage information and record of fundraising activity and donors in a database
  • Reporting on fundraising progress and outcomes

Qualifications and Skills of Ideal Candidate

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Organized and detail oriented
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Able to post to and utilize social media
  • Experience with Google Drive and WordPress a plus!
  • Passionate about sex workers rights!
  • Has got game and hustle! Go get that money!!!
  • Current and former sex workers encouraged to apply, and prioritized

Compensation and Schedule: This is a part time contractor position. $20 per hour for up to 20 hours per month for 6 months. Hitting fundraising goals will be rewarded with a commission program.
